The State of Italian Open-source 2024

🎯 Objectives​

The report's main purpose is to present a snapshot of the status of the Open-Source movement in Italy, trying to create a debate on the data collected and considerations of the pros and cons and opportunities arising from its use in business. To this end, we have analyzed.

• The level of popularity among companies, i.e. how they use and support the open-source movement;
• The level of popularity in the Italian tech community, trying to understand the most common challenges and methods to help spread the movement.

The report data was collected through a survey from 11/29/23 to 12/29/24.

Once the data was collected, we de-identified and anonymized it and then structured a report.
